Elzette and Mark, congratulations. I hope you had a wonderful first Christmas as husband and wife!

The wedding took place at the Twelve Apostles hotel in Hout Bay. The hotel sits on the edge of the Atlantic with Table Mountain her twelve apostles sitting behind. It is a gorgeous location.

The ceremony site is breathtaking. It almost feels as if you are sitting on the sea.

After the ceremony we went for a little adventure. Andy and Chichi were so much fun. They were up for just about anything.

Andy and Chichi, you are a lovely couple and I am so happy to have been able to capture a little bit of your day together. Sybrand, thank you so much for letting me tag along!
Wow, this wedding was beautiful!

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of photographing Shannon and Kristen's wedding. I was second shooting for Julie Cheshire of Julie Berry Cheshire Photography. As always we had an amazing time while capturing all of the little details of the day. The ceremony took place at the St. Gregory's Catholic Church in San Mateo.
Usually before a wedding we try to get a little hint of the details that are most important to capture, those little moments that make each ceremony unique. But, sometimes we don't get let in on those things until they happen. This was one of those moments. Kristen's dad walked her down the aisle, so far so good. What we didn't know was that half way down the aisle her grandfather was going to get the hand off and lead her the rest of the way down. Kristen was so tearful in this moment, and I couldn't really blame her. I was tearful myself.
After the ceremony we all headed to the James Flood Mansion where the reception was to be held. The location is absolutely beautiful. Kristen and Shannon convinced the staff to unlock the door to the balcony to let us sneak in a few great images before the sun went down.
Shannon and Kristen, I am so happy for the two of you. Congratulations, and enjoy your first holiday season as husband and wife!
Another beautiful wedding, great pictures.
(11.30.09)So glad they let you out on the balcony. Those pictures are gorgeous. I especially love the light in the last photo with the bridge and the cake with the windows in the background.
(11.30.09)It was a beautiful spot for photographs. It worked out well since we had so little time after the wedding to do couple photos. It is nice how things work out.

The weekend before last I had the honor of photographing Ginger and Charlie's wedding. Shelly came along and we had a great time capturing every special part of the day. Shelly came with me when I photographed Ginger and Charlie's engagement session in San Francisco, so it was nice that we were all familiar with one another on the wedding day.
The wedding took place at Sacred Heart Church in Salinas. It was a beautiful venue. The wedding party was small, just Ginger and Charlie and her two little ones were on the alter with them. It was sweet and her little boys were perfect gentlemen all through the ceremony.
Ginger's boys didn't come along on the engagement shoot, so I met them for the first time on the day of the wedding. Their cuteness overwhelmed me. Their blonde hair and little button noses, oh man. I melted. Ginger's littlest, Sam, was her escort and proudly walked his mom down the aisle. Her oldest, Campbell, was Charlie's best man.
After the wedding we headed over to the Monterey Museum of Art. The grounds were beautiful and we arrived just in time to get some great pictures before Ginger and Charlie joined their guests for a few cocktails.
The way that Ginger interacts with her boys is so sweet. You can see that they have a wonderful bond. And the boys LOVE Charlie. If only my camera recorded sound so you could hear little Sam as he gave a speech. That's right, a six year old has more nerve than I do. According to Sam, Charlie is a great guy. And mom isn't that bad either.
Congratulations Ginger and Charlie! I loved every minute of your day. You have a beautiful family and the warmth and love that I got to be a part of was a complete joy. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. I know you are going to be so so so very happy together!
What a fantastic day! A wonderful couple and two most precious kids. Thank you Sara for allowing me to get to know Ginger and Charlie. And thank you Ginger and Charlie for asking me to come along for the big day. It truly was a pleasure to witness your love and kindness. All my best to both of you.

Katie and Clinton, you rock my world. Seriously.
The first time I meet these two was at Carmel Beach in Monterey. We did their engagement session and the two of them were so in love they could hardly stand it. Not only that, but they loved to play in front of the camera which makes my job easy and fun.
Now they are already married and even more into each other than on that first day I met them. And let me tell you, they really know how to throw a party!
The ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful Wine and Roses resort and spa in Lodi, California. This was the first time that I had been to this venue, and it was absolutely gorgeous!
I loved the moments before the girls got ready. They all shared a bottle of champagne and laughed and teared up now and then. It was so sweet. Everyone was so happy and Katie was just beaming. Everyone once and a while she would scream out, 'I am getting married!', Clinton is one lucky fella. Katie is such a beautiful bride. And so much fun to photograph! Between her and her many many ladies I was surrounded with beautiful women.
That's right Katie had nine bridesmaids. Nine! I loved it! They were so funny with their matching EVERYTHING. They had matching pink flasks, tissues, bags and sandals. They were a wonderful group to photograph and it was awesome to be a part of the day.
We get so wrapped up in 'the kiss'. And yes, the kiss is of course and important part of the ceremony. But my favorite part is not the kiss. My favorite part is just after the kiss. The part where he looks at her and says, 'you are my wife'. Yup. That is most definitely my favorite part.
Now, hands down my most favorite part of the evening was when Katie started taring up the dance floor. Elite Entertainment provided the music for the evening and when Michael Jackson came on Katie busted out some moves that I didn't realize she had in her. Oh man. I love my job.
Katie and Clinton, you are amazing! I had such great time photographing your wedding, I am so happy for the two of you! Congratulations!!!
You captured the day, the bride, the joy in all it's glory! Great shoot Sara.
(11.30.09)Sara this wedding was serious fun. I love the shot of Katie in the doorway and the getting ready shot where the light is coming from the side and she's in the middle of the girls.
I wish these two a long happy life together.
(11.30.09)Priceless!
