Welcome Hey there, thanks for stopping by! Welcome to my little corner of the internet, my place to share my voice and photography. In case you don't know me, I am Sara (that's me to the left, the one without a big white furry coat). I am a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay area, California. I LOVE my work, and you will see a bit of that sneaking in here. I also use this as a place to share other parts of my life. You will find adventures, food and little tidbits about my life with my darling husband and our two fat cats.  Please feel free to have a look around and even leave me a note. I would love to hear from you!

Guest Book, Photography by Sara Atkins Photography.

Katie and Clinton's Guest Book Arrived for their October wedding at Wine and Roses, I am so excited! I had such a great time designing their album, I can't wait for them to see it. They used the images from their engagement shoot that we did in January at Carmel beach and the Carmel Mission. The decided on a leather cover and it looks great. The guests will be signing in at their reception yearbook style. So much fun!

I am officially canvas crazy.  I have been playing around with mounting images and love the way the images look when on a substrate.  With all of the work that goes into producing a great image, going the extra step of mounting it makes all the difference.  The above is the final template of six canvas' that were ordered. you might recognize these images from THIS maternity session. The final product was beautiful.  As an artist, having my artwork on someone's wall is truly an honor.  Have I mentioned I love my job?

WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) was a crazy event. I spent three days in sin city and was pretty much confined to the walls of the MGM Grand. To be honest, that was enough for me. In fact, it was almost too much for me. There were and incredible number of people, most with an SLR flung around their neck. Despite the volumes of people, and the neon lights (which I am not a huge fan) and the horrible smokey smell, it was a positive experience. The trade show was unbelievable. There were representatives there from every major vendor I had ever heard of and they were all there to show off their latest and greatest products. It was a bit overwhelming, but so much fun! The classes were inspiring and motivating. They really know how to make you want to work, and the worst part is I was stuck without access to any sort of Internet so I could not work!!! To make matters even worse, I returned home to find that my Internet was no longer working (thus the lack of blogging recently). I am back up and running now and will hopefully be able to get caught up with all of the work I have been missing!
