In case you don't know me, I am Sara (that's me to the left, the one without a big white furry coat). I am a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay area, California. Did I mention I love chocolate? It is something that is relatively new in my life. As a kid I wasn't a fan, but in my 20's it has been just a few chocolate chips short of obsession.

Come Valentines day ( yes I am that late in my posting, give a girl a break!) I had to cook up something special for my little sweet tooth. Gourmet magazine had just the right recipe for the job.

One Year Ago: A Big Sur sneak-away

Grandma is in the hospital. It is shocking to see her in that hospital bed, so quiet. My mind drifts back to when I was young and I would help her in the kitchen. The air wafting out of grandma's kitchen was always thick with the scent of cinnamon, butter and bacon. I think my love of food began with her. Food is how she tells you she loves you. It is something that is a part of me too now. I don't know how much longer grandma will be with us, but for now she is surrounded with loved ones. A family filled with hope and sorrow.

Flying to Las Vegas

I am headed to Vegas for a photography convention,  I have no idea what to expect but I am excited to see what it is all about. The flight in was nice, the snow capped mountains were breath taking. It makes me want to hit the slopes!
