We viva-ed Las Vegas, indeed. We managed to escape without too great a
loss, and had a great time in the process. Cirque du Soleil was
incredible...as was the heat. I didn't do much with the camera while I
was there, but on the flight home I decided to grab a few aerial shots.
It helped that wiggled my way into first class. I may not have won in
the casinos, but the flight home was a win in my books!

Home sweet home! Nothing like 102 degree heat to make you appreciate the Bay Area!

Laughter, smiles, a little bit shy, easy to enjoy. Yup, those are all things Annelise. We met at the Berkeley Rose Garden for her very own portrait session to commemorate her seventh birthday. The plan was to continue onto Tilden park, but we had so much fun at the gardens that we didn't even get that far. I am pretty sure that we did in fact find the best smelling rose in that garden. I am not going to tell you which one it is though, that is our little secret.
Leslie, thank you so much for choosing me to document this very special milestone. I had so much fun getting to know both of you, it has been a joy to work with you!

Jennifer and Jason are getting married and I am so excited to document it! We had a great time at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. They came up to visit friends and so we were able to sneak away for a bit and do a little portrait session. It was nice to finally meet them in person and see what a great couple they are. Their wedding is in L.A. in September, so it looks like I will be packing up that little golf of mine and heading south. I can't wait! Seriously.

Yosemite. Just the thought of this place is magical. The towering granite rocks and ever flowing waterfalls. It is simply one of those places that is good for the soul. Last weekend Charlie and I and our friends Matt and Cath (Matty is my South African brother) packed up our cute little golf and headed to the park. Our mission: hike Half Dome. Mission: accomplished.
17 miles (actually more like 20 when you adjust for the accidental detour)
4,800 feet in elevation gain
8,842 feet above sea level
Did I do the whole thing in Vibrams? Abso-flipping-lutely.
