In my life there are basically three types of people. Family, friends and everyone else. Matty falls somewhere between these first two categories. When I was studying in South Africa and I decided I hadn't quite had enough of the place, this is the fella that politely asked his parents if he could bring home a stray student for a couple weeks. Well, those couple of weeks turned into a couple of months and... well yes I am that kind of 'guest'.

Staying with Matty and his family was pretty amazing and Matty became my little....eer... younger brother. We shared long chats over tea and danced in the kitchen. He could ALWAYS get a smile out of me.

One day, Matty fell in love. He sparkled when he spoke of this lovely lady, and when I met her I could see that they absolutely where a perfect match. Finally, after several years of begging Cath and Matty came to visit us in California. It was so much fun having them, the adventures that we went on where pretty epic (see the half dome hike). These are a few images I captured of the two of them while they where here. I am ready for them to come back again.
