It is hard to believe it has been four years. Actually, come to think of it...not really. I mean, it feels like it hasn't been that long, which I suppose is a good thing. But when I think of all of the things that we have experienced together it is hard to believe that we fit it all in just four years. It is not the wedding four years ago that matters (although it was a pretty amazing day) it is everything that has happened since then. Among other things, that fella of mine has supported and encouraged me through the start up and development of my business. He is the one that told me to jump in head first. He gave me the strength and courage to turn my passion into a career.
In the last four years we have traveled together, more than I could have hoped for. We are so fortunate to have had the chance to see the world hand in hand. We have learned to cook, feeding one another our latest culinary feats. Thankfully neither of us has burned down the kitchen though we have had a few close calls. We have survived broken bones, concussions and more trips to the emergency room than I care to remember. We have skied, rock-climbed, cycled, hiked, swam, dove, danced, kayaked, zip-lined, cross-fitted, cruised, drove, walked, snorkeled, horse-backed (yes that is a word) around the world. We have laughed a lot and cried a little.

In the last four years we have also learned that marriage isn't always easy. Marriage is hard work, but it is worth it. Marriage means always having someone to lean on. It means knowing that there will always be someone to bring you tea in bed. It means having someone to watch movies with when you both know you should probably be working. It means having someone to explore life with, someone to get lost with.
Charlie, thank you for four years. Four years of making me tea and letting me steal the covers. Four years of hiking when you would rather be reading. Four years of waiting for me to get the perfect shot.
