Welcome Hey there, thanks for stopping by! Welcome to my little corner of the internet, my place to share my voice and photography. In case you don't know me, I am Sara (that's me to the left, the one without a big white furry coat). I am a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay area, California. I LOVE my work, and you will see a bit of that sneaking in here. I also use this as a place to share other parts of my life. You will find adventures, food and little tidbits about my life with my darling husband and our two fat cats.  Please feel free to have a look around and even leave me a note. I would love to hear from you!

SaraAtkinsPhoto_110117_IMG_7114.jpg Edna, such a sweet soul. This pup was one of 33 that were rescued from a hoarding situation in Oakland. They were being kept in a home stacked in crates. This particular dog has clearly been used as not only a breeding animal but also used in fights. She has a bit of mange and is recovering from being rather malnourished. It is hard to believe she was used in fights, her demeanor is so kind and unassuming. I think that she was used as bait rather than an fighter. Her eyes tell her story and it nearly breaks my heart.

If you know of anyone with a open home and a kind hand, Edna is in serious need of some love. She may not be the most beautiful creature I have ever laid eyes upon, but she has a story and will make a wonderful companion if someone would just give her a chance.

Contact Oakland Animal Services if you are interested in giving a loving home to this sweet critter.
