"Find a job that you love doing and you will never have to
work a day in your life." - Confucius
I work, every day probably a heck of a lot more hours than I ever did in my previous life. That life when I held a job with set hours. Now that I work for myself I think I can easily say that I never actually stop working. But really, for me it isn't work. I LOVE what I do. That is why even after a long day of work (read:play) I still get the urge to pull over and shoot the amazing sunset. Before I ventured into this career I remember reading what other people said about being a photographer. They said it is extremely competitive. This is so true, especially in San Francisco. They said that it requires an endless amount of work and dedication. This is also very true. They said that you have to be careful not to let your passion fizzle away. When you make your passion your job, it becomes just that... a job. But for me, I think making photography a career has only increased my passion. I love documenting the special moments in people's lives, I love creating art and capturing the world around me with the little click of my shutter. So I am feeling very blessed, and I have to say: Confucius, I think you are on to something.

(11.05.10)Isn't it awesome?!?!? I was driving back from a portrait session and the sky was just glowing. I pulled over and grabbed this shot. I didn't even processes it, this is the image straight out of the camera. Isn't nature amazing?
