Our last day of exploring in Milan took us to the city of Pavia. We walked around the city and eventually found our way to the The Certosa of Pavia, the monastery.
It was a blazing hot day and unfortunately the Church did not allow shorts inside. Charlie patiently waited outside while Dan and I explored the old monastery.
It was a blazing hot day and unfortunately the Church did not allow shorts inside. Charlie patiently waited outside while Dan and I explored the old monastery. It was a beautiful church, monitored by monks ensuring that there was no violation of the no shorts rule.
The gardens of the monastery were beautiful. From inside you can see where the monks reside. Not a bad place to spend your time. If I were a monk, I think I would be happy there... well other than the heat =)
