Welcome Hey there, thanks for stopping by! Welcome to my little corner of the internet, my place to share my voice and photography. In case you don't know me, I am Sara (that's me to the left, the one without a big white furry coat). I am a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay area, California. I LOVE my work, and you will see a bit of that sneaking in here. I also use this as a place to share other parts of my life. You will find adventures, food and little tidbits about my life with my darling husband and our two fat cats.  Please feel free to have a look around and even leave me a note. I would love to hear from you!

It is that time of year again! We gathered up my brother's family and headed to the park for some family photos, just in time for their holiday cards. It is amazing how much the munchkins have grown! Now that they are both walking, getting a group photo of all of them is a challenge! But we managed to get a few.

How do you get a one and two year old to sit and smile at the camera? That is a good question. Lots of smiling and silly voices. You have to keep them engaged. But when it works and you get that shot it is such a great feeling!!! Oh, and you have to be quick. Because they are both walking, trying to get them both to sit still for long is nearly impossible. But what a cute little bum!!

Oh Riley. What a cute little elf. And, just like everyone says 'it is a good thing he is cute'. He can be a handful and when he has his mind set to something, usually food, he must have it NOW! But he makes up for it with that cute smile.

When did she get so big? Priya was the first newborn that I photographed, and since then she has been my test subject. As she has grown I have been able to learn how to shoot a 6 month old, sitting up but not yet walking. It was such a joy to capture that smile. I have gone through the crawling stage with her. I would plop her down across the room and let her come crawling up to me in an excited frenzy. Then chasing after a toddler, first walking and becoming increasingly interested in my camera. And now, a little girl. She has a very distinct personality that I have learned to capture as she has grown. So thank you Priya for teaching me how to be a better photographer. I can't wait for the next stage!

One of my pet peeves is crooked horizons. It drives me batty. But, in some images it works, but it must be purposeful. This was one of those times that I thought a tilted lines would add to the image, and I do think it worked. What do you think?

Matteo and Ravi, thank you for a great photo shoot. Your family has taught me how to be a better photographer. I can't wait to see your Christmas cards!!!
