Welcome Hey there, thanks for stopping by! Welcome to my little corner of the internet, my place to share my voice and photography. In case you don't know me, I am Sara (that's me to the left, the one without a big white furry coat). I am a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay area, California. I LOVE my work, and you will see a bit of that sneaking in here. I also use this as a place to share other parts of my life. You will find adventures, food and little tidbits about my life with my darling husband and our two fat cats.  Please feel free to have a look around and even leave me a note. I would love to hear from you!

This is Bella. She is 10 years old and hopes to one day be a veterinarian, an adventurer and a traveler. Come to think of it, she sounds a lot like myself when I was her age. Bella is a complete treasure, and a joy to photograph.  It was wonderful to capture the relationship between her and her four legged friends. We went up to the Metropolitan Horseman's Association's Sequoia Arena in Oakland. We had to reschedule a few times due to the rain, but that rain put a beautiful layer of green on the forest floor so it worked out perfectly! I love these images.  They say so much about the relationship between a girl and a horse. It is such a special bond and I remember that feeling...

When I look at these photographs I don't just see a horse. I can smell the new grass on the forest floor and the pine trees surrounding me. I can feel the sunshine trickling through the trees and I can smell the sweet hay scented breath of my horse.  I can feel her muscles move beneath me and I am home. Yes, this definitely brings me back to another time.

Bella, thank you for introducing me to your ponies. You are such a special girl and I hope that all of your dreams of adventure come true.
