Welcome Hey there, thanks for stopping by! Welcome to my little corner of the internet, my place to share my voice and photography. In case you don't know me, I am Sara (that's me to the left, the one without a big white furry coat). I am a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay area, California. I LOVE my work, and you will see a bit of that sneaking in here. I also use this as a place to share other parts of my life. You will find adventures, food and little tidbits about my life with my darling husband and our two fat cats.  Please feel free to have a look around and even leave me a note. I would love to hear from you!

What is it about photography that I find so appealing? What makes me constantly beg Charlie to pull over so I can get that great shot? Why am I always the one at parties taking the pictures? I like the click. I like the sound the camera makes when I push that little button. Well, that is part of it anyway. That, and I am compulsive about documenting just about everything in my life (this picture is actually a self portrait, not a picture of my husband).

I also love to organize my pictures. Ever since I was little I was organizing things (At this very moment my spices sit alphabetically ordered in my spice cabinet). I used to have a pretend office behind my parents couch where I would organize my pretend important documents. Now I keep my not-pretend documents organized. And my pictures too. So, I am compulsive.

I enjoy learning. When it comes to photography, I can spend hours learning. I mean, lets face it, there is enough to learn to keep me busy for a life time. But, I enjoy learning everything about it. From shooting techniques to processing techniques. And when I get new toys to go with my camera I dive right in and learn everything about it. I love it.

Nature. If it wasn't for my passion for nature there would be a whole lot less to shoot. I am truly in my element when I am outside and I especially love being outside with my camera. I can spend hours upon hours shooting the details of nature and never be bored.

I guess among other things it gives me something to do. Often when I am at family events or social gatherings I find myself looking for something to do. I do enjoy visiting with people, and if the situation is right I can enjoy some nice conversations. But let's face it, often times when one is at a party...there are some conversations that are just not so interesting. If I have my camera and my brothers start talking about poker and can quickly run out of the room shouting about a photo opportunity that I just can't miss.

Yes.

I am a photo nerd.
